As we say goodbye to another year, it’s the perfect time to spotlight some of the standout garage projects that made 2024 truly memorable! With so many impressive new builds and renovations throughout the season, these top 5 projects stood out above the rest. Which one is your personal favorite?
1. We Didn’t See That Coming!
Starting this roundup off strong, this total transformation is the kind of garage makeover we love most—turning an outdated look into a sleek, modern masterpiece. The before-and-after photos are nothing short of jaw-dropping (in the best way), and we couldn’t be happier with how this one turned out.
This shade of blue along with the wooden panel door with the finishing details is a timeless favorite. This combination remains a popular choice year after year, and it’s always exciting to put a unique spin on this style for families across greater Milwaukee.
2. Same, But Different (& Better)!
We get it—you know what you like, and sticking to it works! Not much has to change for it to be an amazing transformation. Take this garage, for example: it stayed true to its original color palette and retained the classic Hip roof shape. However, subtle upgrades in size, materials, and style made a world of difference, dramatically enhancing the property’s value and curb appeal.

3. 2-in-1: Bonus in the Back
This garage was atypical for J.D. Griffiths because of it’s unique design. From the front, it looks like your standard, one-door, two-car garage. But when you swing into the back, there’s an additional attached storage shed to the back! This design maximizes the small lot size for the homeowners, giving them a 2-in-1 shed and garage solution.
4. From Drabby to Happy
It’s always surprising to see just how many old, run-down garages are scattered across the greater Milwaukee area—but transforming them is what we do best! Replacing a worn garage with a polished, sturdy new structure is our specialty, and this renovation was no exception.
The cheerful yellow siding brings a bright, welcoming vibe to the property, while the expanded garage and driveway footprint add practicality and flexibility.
